Alright, fellow adventurers, let's talk about one of the most unique challenges in Throne and Liberty right now: the Secret Dungeons. Forget about relying on your guildmates to carry you through a raid. This is the ultimate solo test of skill, where it's just you, your wits, and a massive boss. Today, I'm breaking down my experience with the sixteenth floor and its formidable guardian, the Immortal Guardian. This stone giant isn't just a damage sponge; it's a puzzle that requires quick thinking and even quicker reflexes.
Stepping into the arena for the first time, I was immediately struck by the setup. There's the giant itself, looming in the center, and three stone pillars surrounding it. I knew right away those pillars weren't just for decoration. The fight starts with the Guardian throwing out these wide, sweeping auto-attacks. They hit the whole area, but honestly, the damage is pretty light at this stage. Don't get complacent, though. This is just the warm-up.
The real challenge begins with its counter mechanics. The first counter comes after a few autos, and thank goodness it has a slow, telegraphed wind-up. It's your classic "see the glow, dodge the blow" situation. Perfect for getting the timing down. But then... it does a second counter. And this one? It's FAST. The wind-up is almost non-existent, and if you get hit, you're dazed for a few precious seconds. In a fight like this, being stunned is a death sentence.

Just when you think you've got the counters figured out, the arena completely changes. After that second counter, the giant leaps onto one of the pillars and the entire floor below turns into a sea of fire. 🔥 Yep, you guessed it – the floor is lava. You have to get on a pillar, and fast, or your health will just melt away. But here's the catch: you need to jump onto the same pillar as the boss. He's untargetable from the other two, even for ranged attacks. And while you're up there trying to figure out your next move, he starts healing himself. Your new priority is interrupting that heal!
This is where things got a little janky for me. Using the 'F' key to grapple onto the pillar felt incredibly finicky. More than once, I'd get launched into the air only to plummet back onto the burning ground. It's frustrating, but persistence is key. Keep mashing that 'F' button if you have to!
Once you're both on the pillar, the dance continues. He'll still use his attacks and counters, but now there's a new, annoying move: a powerful hammer slam that knocks you clean off the platform. You have to grapple back up immediately, because every second you're down, he's healing. He'll also jump between the three pillars, so be ready to follow him. The burn damage from the floor is manageable, but getting knocked off and letting him heal is the real run-killer.
For me, this fight was one of the most entertaining in the Secret Dungeon lineup. It's not just a DPS check; it's a mobility and awareness check. The constant platform hopping keeps you on your toes, even if the grappling mechanic needs some polish. Beating him feels incredibly rewarding.
And speaking of rewards, let's talk loot! Defeating the Immortal Guardian is totally worth the effort. Here's what you get:
