Naturally, that egg is sitting in a nest high above the ground, a fair distance from the Starlight Observatory Tower. So yes, you are about to do some aerial nonsense. This is the tricky part, and it had me falling on my face a couple of times. You need to use your Glide Morph to fly from the highest point of the Starlight Observatory Tower directly into the Chief Terror Bird's Nest. If you burn too much Stamina early, you will come up short and have to try again. Been there, done that.

The trick is to leap off the tower toward the nest and quickly Ascend with Space/A/X while you are still in the Safe Zone. That Ascend will not consume any Stamina, so you get extra height for free. From there, Speed Up by holding down the W Key or holding Up on your Left Analog Stick. You will run out of Stamina before you reach the nest, but the height you gained earlier will be more than enough to let you coast directly over the Chief Terror Bird Egg. Then you Descend on top of it by pressing S or holding Down on your Left Analog Stick. If you stick the landing, grab the egg and feel like a legend.

Collect The Chief Terror Bird's Egg - Cheese Method

If the Glide Morph controls are giving you grief, we get it. There is a cheese method that is way more forgiving. Head to the nest from the Starlight Observatory Tower and pass through the small opening to reach a small collection of tall, pointy rocks. Climb on the tall, pointy rock that is close to the nest. That rock has plenty of slopes and footholds, so you can make your way to the very top. It may take some finagling, but it should not be too challenging. Once you are on top of that rock, simply leap directly into the Chief Terror Bird's Nest. No sprinting or Morph required; a solid leap will do just fine. Once you are in the nest, safely gather the Chief Terror Bird Egg. Quest step done, and no sweat.

Talk To Trevor

With the Chief Terror Bird Egg in your pocket, fast-travel back to the Starlight Observatory Tower and speak with Trevor at the tower's highest point again. Exhaust his dialogue, and One Flew Over the Terror Bird's Nest is officially complete. Easy money.
