Everyone loves a good glow-up story, but nobody warns you that in Throne and Liberty, your next best friend might be a discarded doll rotting in a chapel. As a regular player roaming around in 2026, I've learned that Amitoi companions range from cute to \"why is that thing staring at me,\" and the Prankster Joker Amitoi leans hard into the second category. Still, free loot, passive healing, and expedition slaves—sorry, friends—are worth a little nightmare fuel.
Amitoi are magical little pals that hang around and make life easier. When you summon one, it occasionally burns World Tree Leaves to heal you mid-scrap, which has saved my squishy backside more times than I care to admit. You can also stuff them into the Amitoi house and send them off on expeditions to gather crafting materials while you pretend to be productive. If you're hunting for a new creepy-cute crew member, the Exploration Quest A Powerless Little Friend is your ticket. Here's how I got it done without losing my mind.
Finding the Freaky Doll
This quest unlocks as soon as you waddle into the Abandoned Stonemason Town area, which sits to the north of Stonegard Castle. Fast travel to the Abandoned Stonemason Town Waypoint, then shuffle a short distance to the southeast toward the chapel. The target here is a discarded doll, and I'll be honest, it looks like it has opinions about my life choices.

Don't bother running laps around the ground floor like I did. The doll hangs out on the second floor. To get up there, use the staircase on the outside of the building, hop onto the roof, and drop inside. It's a little platforming detour, but nothing too spicy. Chat with the doll, and it sends you off on a farming errand.
The Vitality Mass Grind
Your next task is to collect three Vitality Masses, which drop from Mandrakes and Deadly Mandrakes. The description says there's a chance to drop, but what it should say is \"prepare to commit botanical genocide.\" The drop rate is fairly low, and I went through several dozen angry plants before I saw all three. Don't panic, don't rage-sell your gear. Just que up a podcast and start mowing down Mandrakes. They may look like harmless veggies, but they deserve it.
| Item Needed | Source | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Vitality Mass x3 | Mandrakes & Deadly Mandrakes | Low drop rate; farm more than you think |
| High Concentration Manastone | Found on a mountain peak | Requires gliding to reach |
Climbing, Gliding, and Questioning My Sanity
With the gooey masses in your bag, head northeast through the Abandoned Stonemason Town until you run into a narrow passage cutting through a mine. Play smart: don't take the mine path. Instead, look for grappling hook spots and yeet yourself up the mountain. Scale the side until you reach the peak, then glance to the north. You should spot the High Concentration Manastone sitting on a smaller mountain like a glowing rock waiting for a hug.

Glide down to that smaller mountain, mine the Manastone, and try not to look down. My glider gave a little wheeze, but it held. Once you've got the shiny rock, head back to the chapel and talk to the doll again. It'll offer to join your team, and just like that, the Prankster Joker is yours.
Why Bother With This Quest?
Besides the obvious \"gotta catch 'em all\" energy, the Prankster Joker Amitoi is genuinely useful. Send it on expeditions to passively collect ores, herbs, and other crafting bits while you run dungeons or argue about weapon balance in world chat. Summon it during open-world shenanigans, and those World Tree Leaf heals can keep you from kissing the floor during elite fights. Plus, having a tiny haunted doll float behind you is the kind of chaotic energy that makes Throne and Liberty fun.
So if you're still missing this scrappy little companion, head north of Stonegard Castle, embrace your inner mountaineer, and adopt a doll with questionable vibes. It's weird, it's useful, and honestly, it'll probably judge your gear less than your guildmates do.
Happy hunting, and may your Mandrake genocide be brief and bountiful. 🌱💀
